It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nhora Gladys Sleigh. Born on March 7, 1947 in Bogota, Colombia, Nhora moved to Toronto, Canada in 1972. She travelled around the world with her beloved husband Eric and settled in Victoria, BC in 1997. She loved everything about Victoria most especially the outdoors. She was an avid walker and hiker and participated for many years in Saanich walking groups. Nhora’s greatest joy was spending time with her two cherished granddaughters, Lila and Ellie, who will miss their Grandma very much. She passed away peacefully with family by her side on August 19, 2022. She is survived by her son Eric, daughter-in-law Jenn, her two granddaughters Lila and Ellie, her sister Pilar and husband Gustavo, and her sister Divia along with many nieces and nephews.
Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Linda Coates Sincere condolences to the family on the passing of Nhora. I knew Nhora only through the Saanich walking groups, but enjoyed her pleasant company and conversation on a number of occasions. Her pride and love for her family was evident as we shared ‘grandmother stories’

Rick and Kathy Dear Eric and Family
We were deeply saddened to hear of Nhoras’ passing. Our heart breaks for you and your family. Your mom was a very Special Friend. We will cherish her memory in our hearts forever. May you find peace.
Our sincere condolences. Rick and Kathy
Nhora was the first person I met and “walked and talked” with on our Saanich walks. She was such a lovely and friendly and energetic person, it is hard to imagine she will no longer be there to walk with us. We enjoyed talking about our children and grandchildren – Nhora was so proud of her family. My condolences to her family, she will be greatly missed.
