Michael was born in Victoria to Louise Frances (née Ormond) and Percy William Weston on Feb 10, 1945 and Dad passed away peacefully on July 20, 2022.
Dad was a hardworking and well-respected businessman in both Victoria and Vancouver. He liked to start his days early with a breakfast meeting, and could later be found chatting on the phone well into the evening. At heart, he was an entrepreneur who loved bringing people together and making ideas happen. Dad was also an avid boater with a love for classic wooden yachts. He was a member of the Royal Victoria Yacht Club since 1959 and when he wasn’t busy working, he could be found tinkering on his boat or out on the water with friends and family.
Michael will be dearly missed by his wife Barbara and their 3 children; Dean (Katarina), Lisa and Christopher (Jennifer) Weston, his grandchildren Natasha and Ivona Weston, William and Olivia Sinclair, and their father Steven Sinclair, his sister Sue (Mark) Batchelor and their children Andrea, Eric and Michael.
A Celebration of Life was held in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC, on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at 2:00 pm, with Laura-Lee Parris, Celebrant.

Roxana & family Though many years have passed since I last saw Michael, he has always been in my heart and in my thoughts. He was generous, full of wise counsel, and still the most entrepreneurial spirit I’ve ever met. Sending sincere condolences to his family during this sad time.

Mohan Jawl I last saw Michael several months ago at Victoria General Hospital. We both were there for tests. Michael was ahead of me in the queue and came out while I was still waiting. Instead of leaving we spoke for a while and when I went in he stayed and spoke to my wife, offering her advice and encouragement on how to support me in my illness. He was still there when I came out some time later. It was typical of Michael, as busy as he was, he always had time to help someone in need. He had his own health challenges, but he found time to think of others. I will miss him.

Ernest Daddey Michael Weston will be dearly missed by Ernest , Florence and Shidaa Daddey.
Michael was true leader and a visionary who was very easy to work with. We spent several hour per week developing solutions to business problems.
Michael was also a friend who gave me some excellent advice with respect to family. A very generous human being. May the Weston family in Victoria and beyond take comfort that Michael is resting in peace. His legacy in Victoria and across Canada will impact so many lives in the years to come.
Rest In God’s Perfect Peace Michael.Ernest Daddey

David Gray Michael worked with me negotiating the contract for the rebuild of RVYC’s Tsehum Haven marina in 2015. We had a very tight timeline and Michael made himself available for all our needs. His insight and advice were invaluable and I developed an enormous amount of respect for this quiet spoken, prince of a man. I will miss our infrequent chats, we have lost a man of substance. My heart goes out to his family in this difficult time.
Sincere condolences to Barb and the children, grandchildren.
Larnold has worked for one of the companies the Westons oversaw for many years, and has known the family for most of that time. Michael was a bit of a card but knew what he wanted for his companies his family and his life.
Whole he faltered somewhat in the past year, he was a focused business man.
I will always remember him for his assistance several years ago in tricking my husband into a much needed vacation. He was instrumental in getting him to the airport for me!
Safe travels, Michael, wherever you go!
