It is with deep sorrow that the family of Bill Booth of Sidney BC, announce his peaceful passing on June 29, 2022 at the age of 88. Bill was born in Edmonton, Alberta on January 15, 1934. He was predeceased by his parents Kathleen and Edwin, as well as his siblings Bess and Jim. Bill will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 66 years, Mary and his daughters, Teresa (Keith) and Connie. He was a devoted grandfather to Sherri, Jackie and Brad as well as a great-grandfather to 7. He also had many special friends and family such as nephews, Grant and Greg Fedun, whom he raised as his own after the passing of their parents. Bill worked as a general contractor for over 35 years building many homes in the Sidney and Greater Victoria area with his cousin Don as Howard and Booth Construction. After retirement, Bill and Mary became avid golfers and regulars at the Cedar Hill Golf Course. Bill liked watching sports, old movies, daily walks and spending time with family. He particularly enjoyed the annual family get-togethers in Parksville. Bill enjoyed gambling, with numerous trips to Reno, Las Vegas and Laughlin. He was a long-serving member (61 years) of the Army and Navy, Sidney Unit #302 where he spent many hours over the years. He was a loving, quick-witted man who could easily put a smile on people’s faces.
A special thank you to brother-in-law George and Lorrraine Sandwith for all their support over the years. As well, thank you to all who were involved with his medical care over the past several months. As per his wishes there will be no service. The family wishes to honor Bill’s memory by quietly spending time together being grateful for the time they had with him.
Condolences may be offered to the family below.
