It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Bob. Bob had a 3 year struggle with cancer and is now peacefully at rest.

Bob was a quiet man who enjoyed fishing, camping and wood working. Many of his woodworking projects could be seen in his house and his daughter and son-in-law’s house. Over the years interest in his hobbies waned, however, he was always up for a game of cards with his family and going to the casino. We’re sure we only heard about his casino winnings, so in our minds he was a very lucky guy. We will miss our Sunday night card games and afternoon coffees together. It’s hard to imagine our lives without the presence of our quiet, independent dad, father-in-law and grandpa.

Bob is predeceased by his wife Yvonne (2001) and son Robbie (1983). He is survived by his daughter Chris, son-in-law Rob, and grandsons, Ryan and Graham.

A celebration of Bob’s life was held at McCall Gardens on June 10, 2022 at 2:00 pm at 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, B.C. V8Y 1B4

Thinking about Robert this morning so decided to check the internet & found out he passed away. We went through school together & we’re always good friends. Our parents were friends. When Robert would come back to see his family & for funerals of his family, we would always have a visit. His brother Luke was a good friend of my husband Sandy. Last visit he was not feeling well & told me about his cancer. Sandy & I owned Sandy’s Jewellery store in Fairview. Rest In Peace Robert.

Christine, I am saddened about this news as I simply happened to be searching randomly… my memories about our family connection is awakened every time I see the movie Grease … something we did together in Hawaii in 1978. The stories you shared were wonderful.
