It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dale Machuk. He was a kind, generous, gregarious, charismatic man, with a big heart, who always left a lasting impression on those that he met and knew. Dale had the qualities which made you simply want to be around him. To those who know him and love him, this is a sad day and there is undoubtedly a void felt, but it is times like these that reinforce a sense of gratitude for the time that we had with Dale. All of the memories, love and happiness we felt will stay with us as we move forward.
A gathering to Celebrate the Life of Dale Machuk, was held in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC, on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 2:00pm.

Dale you are missed ✨ We had lost touch for few years and just started talking again about maybe 10 years or so ago. I enjoyed our conversations, Dale always made me laugh and liked to talk about the old days and always asked about my mom and the family.
We were always going to meet for lunch but never happened. We talked about driving out to Invermere and Edgewater to see Everyone.
Dale always asked about my Mom he really loved her. Said he would come out to Edgewater and cook her a “nice meal”…as Dale would say! I’m going to miss our chats – Love you ❤️✨

Dixie Doell Dale was a force.
I miss our talks with tears and laughter.
You made me feel good about myself every time we talked. The time I was able to spend with your dad (Mike) and you and Ron.
Your love for your family and close friends was always on your mind. The last time we talked April all you could talk about was how you wanted a place we could all gather and enjoy, with all the best.
Only the Best Dale.
I will be bringing you and Dad a licorice milkshake.
See you again. Dixie

Mathew I’m sorry to see you go Dale, I will always remember and cherish the adventures we had together, like the time we drove to Washington State to load up the Escalade with open box televisions and the time we were Pub hopping in Amsterdam or the time in Vancouver drifting around corners in a Ferrari with a crazy mechanic at the wheel. I learned a lot from you Dale you surprised me how much you knew from food to business to cars and real estate. I’m happy I got to spend those times with you.
Rest in peace buddy we will see each other again.

I have some very fond memories of Dale, he taught me so much. Very bright man, strong but a teddy bear at heart. I was fortunate to have known Dale. Resting in peace, smiling down on his loved ones with his father, mother, and his two brothers who he loved with all his heart.
Ron, Rob, Shannon, Jacqueline, Lillianna, and Jason Machuk. Please accept my deepest and heartfelt condolences at the loss of your brother and uncle. I know he loved you all so much and I know when he loved he loved big. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you all in this time of infinite sadness.

Marion Quennell Ron, Shannon, Jacqueline and Jason Machuk,
I am really sad that Dale has left this realm. I didn’t get to know him as an adult and the wonderful uncle that Jason always talked about. He certainly leaves another huge hole in the Machuk family.

Peter Krebs Dale and I grew up together in Radium, actually Dry Gulch!
He lived across the highway from my family.
Dale used to stay at our house when his Mom and Dad went away, and I spent many nights sleeping on the floor in his bedroom.
Dale introduced me to basketball, in fact he sild me his backboard and rim , and I spent hundreds of hours using it for years.
Dale also sold me my 1st motorcycle,a 1975ish Honda 90.
Dale was a phenomenal rider himself.
Dale tought me how to ski, in fact I still have a scar under my eye from an errant ski pole,he stuck me with!
I lost track of Dale, in the early 90s, i always asked people we knew if they had any idea what he was up to.
I looked him up on Facebook many times, I forgot he had a brother, I would have messaged Ron.
I think of my friendship with Dale often, and I miss him.
I will always regret not seeing you, for so many years buddy, until we meet again!!

Dan Daniels I am so saddened to hear that Dale had passed away. I have a lot fond memories as teenagers, unfortunately lost touch for the better part of 40 years. I had often thought about him over the years and how he was doing. I hope Dale is in a better place.
Super bummer that Dale is gone. He was a great guy to be around and super funny. He also was a caring and generous guy. Rest In Peace Dale and keep that Prime Rib steak warm until I get up there. You are greatly missed.
