After living a short while with cancer, Pat went to be with her Lord on February 7, 2022 at the age of 68. Pat was predeceased by daughter, Brianne, and her parents, Winn and Jack Butcher. Survived by loving daughters, Sara and Erin. Older sister to John (Betty), Joy, and Rob (Lorraine). Dearly missed by friends and family.
Pat was born the oldest of four in Victoria, BC. As a young adult she volunteered at the Upper Room and in prison ministry. Pat worked hard to provide for her family and went on to work and retire at Island Farms Dairy (now Agropur Cooperative).
Pat was very good with her hands when it came to crafting and baking. She made beautiful wedding, birthday, and other occasion cakes, and her desserts and bread were very much enjoyed by family, friends and church members. She excelled at crocheting and knitting. She was very generous with her time and skills, like when she crocheted stuffed animals for Sunday School kids. She loved watching figure skating, listening to music, reading and gardening (especially her strawberry plants!).
Pat was a straight shooter and told things as she saw them, and she faced life straight on. She was strong, courageous, and deeply loved her family, friends and church.
Celebration of Life service to be held at Gateway Baptist Church, 898 Royal Oak Avenue on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 10AM. Tea to follow. Special thanks to staff at Victoria General Hospital for their excellent care.
