Born in Marzinis, Fiume Veneto, Italy, Mario passed away peacefully in his home on Feb 12th, surrounded by his family.

Predeceased by his son Louis, Mario will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of nearly 65 years, Velia; children Rita Fichtner (Robert), Michael (Jodi); and grandchildren Louis, Colin, Matthew and Maddison.

The family wishes to acknowledge the excellent care administered by Island Health during the past 2 years.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Andrews Cathedral on Friday, Feb 18 at 12:00 PM, followed by interment at Royal Oak Burial Park.
