Courage to try.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald Edward McKeever of Victoria BC Canada.
Ron passed away where he was born at the Royal Jubilee Hospital on February 1, 2022, 4 days after his 81st birthday. He was predeceased by his parents Archie and Hilda (Barber) and survived by his life partner, best friend and wife of 58 years Beryl (Campbell); 3 children: Neil (Heather), Ross (Regan) and Krista; six grandkids: Bethany, Abigail, Isaak, Shae, Macey and Daisy; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Ron was a beloved husband, dad, grampy, uncle, cousin, friend and inspiration. He never lacked the courage to try allowing him to experience life to its fullest while he had the capacity, whether in the kitchen doing what he loved or helping his friends. He opened doors with encouragement and confidence to all he knew. Never one to shy away from a party, Ron was also blessed with many life-long friendships providing him with a soul-smiling depth of life experience. He had many friends and was a friend to many, young and old. His memory will continue to put smiles on our faces.
The McKeever family sends deep and heartfelt thanks to the Jubilee Nursing Staff. You are amazing and made life easy for Ron and those who surrounded him during his final days. A donation will be made in your honor to the Victoria Hospital Foundation. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
A celebration of life will be held in Ron’s honor in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 2:00 pm.
Flowers graciously declined. Please instead consider supporting your local hospital foundation and health care workers.
See ya later alligator.
Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Ron & Rosarie Adams Beryl, Rosarie and I were saddened to hear of Ron’s passing. He was a kind and gentle man and great neighbour who I often thought of in a “Wilson” moment as we conversed over the back fence. Sadly, those moments were infrequent in the last few years but he did wave from his kitchen window. He will be missed.
If you need anything, Beryl, please call or “Yell over the fence”.

Brian Usher To Ron’s grandchildren,
In a Grade 5 soccer game, your Grandad and I collided, his elbow knocked out my tooth! We went on to play many sports together over our school years, winning over 80% of our games for Oak Bay schools. He was a great teammate on great teams.

Monica Bailey Ross and the whole family,
My heart felt condolences.
Who are parents were when we were young,
Who are parents became when we got older,
And who they were when they said their last goodbyes
Never changed the love they had for us, or who we were to them.
That love is forever, no matter how it ends.Big hug to you.
