After a long hard-fought battle Cecilia passed away peacefully January 10, 2022. She leaves behind her husband of forty-three years, Steve and their three sons, Michael, Philip and Christopher. Also, her two brothers, Wilfred and Dennis and many nieces and nephews. She had many friends and will be remembered as someone always cheery and usually laughing. She was predeceased by her parents John and Doris Petryk.
While she was always passionate about everything she took to, she had a particular love of quilting and made many beautiful works of art. She was an avid reader and loved to play cards and other games – Bridge was her favourite and she played in many tournaments.
Cecilia will be sorely missed. A Celebration of Life will be held when feasible. Condolences may be offered to the family below.
