Our beloved Peter Yeo has suddenly passed away on December 14th, 2021. He is survived by his mother, Rebecca, his father, Joseph, and his little sister, Lucia. He was a son, a brother, colleague, mentor, and friend.

Peter was born on July 7th, 1985 in South Korea. He was known for his passion for music, piano, and singing, ranging from Chopin and Beethoven to Brian McKnight and Coltrane. He was a valued member of the Grace Presbyterian Church where he was involved with the choir. A youthful part of him gravitated to hobbies such as animation, hero’s tale movies, and comeback stories, and he recently showed an avid fondness for Marvel superheroes. He also appreciated gaming with his little sister when he could find the time. Peter was an intense supporter of the Tottenham Hot Spurs and LA Dodgers. He prioritized much of his time to work, as he was hard working and loved his colleagues and family at Quality Foods.

Peter was charismatic and determined to achieve any goal that he set his mind to – which was apparent in the progress that he made on his journey to walk again after his accident in 2017. However, the impact that took his mobility had not touched who he was at his core, who was friendly, loyal, protective, and intelligent. He was also funny in the way that he liked horror movies but couldn’t watch them alone.

A small service was held to accompany Peter on his final journey in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC on December 22, 2021 at 2:00 pm. A recording of the service is available below.

Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the VGH UBC Hospital Foundation to support the G. F. Strong Center.

Condolences may be offered to the family below.
