    Mercia and family,
I am late expressing my condolences but wanted you to know I was so saddened to learn of Ray’s passing. He and I worked together quite closely and we always had a great relationship, with lots of laughs along the way. He was a gem of a gentleman and thoroughly deserved the respect of being called Mr. Vance. He will be missed for sure. I hope you are all holding on to great memories to sustain you in your grief.
    Sincerely, Joan Firkins

To the Vance Family: A very special man, I too worked with Mr. Vance in the Esquimalt branch and enjoyed his sense of humor. I was fortunate to have ran into him at Romeos having dinner with his family prior to Covid and he seemed happy and in good health. Condolences Sam Sinclair

Mrs. Vance, Alison, Hilary, Nicholas and family

I am so very sorry and sad to read about the passing of Mr. Vance. I enjoyed so many wonderful days of working with him in Esquimalt. He was such a great boss. “Ray” to many, however, to most of the staff he was affectionately Mr. Vance. I always felt a special connection knowing Alison in my earlier years at BMO, and getting to know Mrs. Vance. He always spoke highly of his family. After he retired, I was able to keep up to date when he would do his banking at the Royal Oak Branch. He never seemed to change over the years.
I hope you surround yourselves with family and friends during this difficult time. May all your fond memories help give you strength when you need it most. I am thinking of you with loving thoughts and prayers. Love, Corrine and family
