    Dear Shaun Bev and Debbie
I was trying to find your mom’s phone number today so I could wish her Happy Birthday and was shocked to hear of her passing. We knew each other as children and she was my bridesmaid. We had lots of fun as young women and stayed in touch. I was very sick last March and missed her birthday call. I have one of her paintings. She was a great friend and a lovely lady.

We will always have fond memories of Sandra. She was a wonderful neighbour and we have such great memories of tea and treats together. Even after she moved away we kept in touch, had virtual chats and feel blessed that in her last few months we were able to talk and keep connected. A beautiful person inside and out and we will miss her.

  • Irene Wiebe and family

So sorry to hear of Sandra’s passing. We lived next door to her in Saskatoon and our families went to school together. She and my daughter were the best of friends. She was a very smart and beautiful girl, inside and out. We will miss her. God Bless the family at this difficult time.

I met Sandra while working at Hillside Centre in the early 1980s. We became good friends. Sandra was a gentle and kind person. While she struggled to raise you 3 girls on her own, she was really proud of how you all grew into wonderful women. We had many fun times and lots of laughs, teas, and cakes! She hosted a lovely tea one day at her home that would put the Empress to shame. I will miss my friend. I still can’t quite wrap my head around the fact she is no longer on this side of the universe…but I still talk to her and shed tears over losing such an amazing woman.

    Dear Debbie, Bev and Shaun,

I was so sad to hear of Sandra’s passing. As I was telling Debbie the other day, so many of my childhood memories include your family and our moms. Joint family adventures, brunch, going for walks, sleepovers and many an afternoon just talking and enjoying being togeter.

I will always remember Sandra’s smile, laughter and kindness. The nights that she and my mom would dress up and go dancing, looking as beautiful as they could be. I’m thankful for and all of the music, poetry and life lessons they brought to us.

I’d like to think that our moms are together watching over all of their loved ones…and having a great time together once more. All of my love to you and yours.

I was stunned to hear of your Mom’s passing, we were friends a few years ago and had many lunches and teas together as well as visiting many studio tours. I hadn’t seen your Mom lately as life has a way of swallowing you up sometimes and we lost touch. I will always treasure the time we had together,, she was a bright light. love Robin

I am so sorry for your loss. Sandra was a wonderful sister-in-law, who looked after me, and my mum very well when we visited from Scotland. I was so glad we met up in Edinburgh, together with Bev, and had a lovely, funny day! Always kind, always smiling, a lovely woman in every way. Xxx

Debbie, I still remember that great story you told me about your mom. How she so was so lovely in her approach when she told a harried traveller on the ferry that she had a curler in her hair curler. She sounded like a fun and lovely lady. My condolences to you and your family -Baljinder

I am so saddened by the loss of your wonderful mom, grandma, great grandma. She was such a lovely, kind woman. From the Beckett’s our sincerest condolences for your loss.

  • Sonja Ferguson

Your mom lived a storybook life, she always said she was going to write a book one day. She was always so kind, and gentle with you girls, you were her “little ladies”, as she referred to in restaurants. I know she had some real struggles raising you on her own, but, again, always seemed cheerful. I have so many fond memories, watching you girls become adults, and lunches and walking around Victoria and just talking. I will, and do , miss her. Your loving great aunt, Sonja, and Keith, Kevin, and Todd.
