Maria died peacefully on October 9, 2021 in Victoria, BC. She was born on July 18, 1933 in Cosenza, Italy.
Predeceased by her husband Mario in 2012; Maria is survived and will be deeply missed by her children Laura (Franco), Geno, Luigi; her Grandchildren Christina, Francesca, Nicholas, Jordan, Nicole, Hayley, Great Grandchildren Natalie and Everleigh.
She will be deeply missed by her sister’s in Italy, Ida, Luisa (Luigi), and Anna (Giovanni) many nieces and nephews and extended family.
Her greatest pleasure was when she was surrounded by her family.
The family would like to express our sincerest thank you to the staff at the Priory hospital who took such wonderful care of her, she always said how much she liked it there and how good everyone was to her. Thank you to Dr. Vaughan who best described our mother as a Gracious Lady.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 10:00 am with entombment to follow at Royal Oak Mausoleum.
