It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Vidya Wati (nee Sandhu), aged 81, on May 16, 2021.
Vidya was born February 5, 1940, in Punjab India, and has lived in Canada since 1993. She leaves behind her husband of 67 years Lachman Singh. She is greatly missed by her children, Promila Ansari, Anita Surila, Urmila Paul, Arun Kumar, and Anil Kumar Singh as well as sons-in-law, Late Dr. M Ali Ansari, Dr. Surinder Paul Surila, and Harjinder Paul, and many relatives & wonderful friends.
Vidya was a sweet and kind loving grandmother to Ruhi Ansari, Adil A. Ansari, Ripanu Surin, Dhruv Surin, Rubita Paul, Robin Paul, Jasmine Paul and Amit Kumar Leal. She especially loved seeing her great grand-daughter Ava Walsh.
A Memorial Service will be held via Zoom at 10:00 am PDT on Thursday, May 20, 2021. Zoom link below:

Thanks to the staff at the Royal Jubilee Hospital and the caregivers of Island Health who assisted her in this last year. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Condolences may be offered to the family below.
