Mom passed peacefully at 94 1/2 years of age on April 4, 2021.
Mom and Dad married young and through the good and bad times remained “in love” for 74 years. She was the “best Mom” and her journey on earth was remarkable in kindness, compassion and dedicated parenting. Mom is predeceased by her husband, Elmer, and her four siblings.
Once free of their parental responsibilities they enjoyed travelling by car to many places in Canada and the United States, always stopping off to visit family and friends along the way.
Mom will be lovingly remembered by her children Gary, Lee and Bonnie and will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Andrew, Megan, Angella, and Ainslee. Mom will also be fondly remembered by her great-grandchildren, Tyler, Grayson and Hayden.
Although we haven’t quite come to terms with the fact that we will never be able to have another conversation with her, she will always be with us.
Rest in peace Mom, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I looked forward to the times that I was helping to care for your Mom. It was always the highlight of my day to have the chance to visit with you and your Mom. She was a very precious lady and I’m just so sad that I didn’t get to see her one last time to tell her again how special that she was. It brings tears to my eyes looking at Aunt Alice’s picture. She was such a lovely, kind, gentle lady. I remember as kids when we went to your place in Regina or you came out to the farm, her quiet manner and calm demeanour…so many years ago but I can still see her and hear her voice. Our Mom had her wedding picture and as a kid jean and I would admire it …she was so beautiful…and remained that way. That is how I will remember her. A beautiful, gentle lady.
