Casimiro emigrated from Italy in 1949 and began logging on southern Vancouver Island. After marrying in 1955 he was employed with paving. In his spare time he constructed houses.
He was an original member of St. Joseph Catholic church in Saanich. He is survived by his wife Regina, daughter Cecilia (Dan), sons; Elio, Roberto (Donna) , Angelo and 7 grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Arbutus wing at the Gorge Rd hospital for their care of Casimiro in the last days of his life.

    I met & worked with Casimiro since the early 70’s at OK Trucking & Paving (Island Asphalt) until I retired in 2002. Cas was a devoted hard working man who rarely complained & was a man who kept to himself. We could always rely on him for a job well done. Rest in Peace.
