Predeceased by his wife Elaine (Didge) he is survived by his sons; Wayne (Dianne) and Alan (Marian), grandchildren; Krista, Kevin, David and Christine, sister Rosemary Griffiths and loving friend Shirley. Alec was an immensely proud tradesman and often spoke of the landmark buildings in Victoria that he had plumbed. After plumbing for 20 years, Alec moved on to become the senior plumbing inspector for the District of Saanich. He was glad this allowed him to keep in touch with all his fellow plumbers. No service by request. Private Cremation. In lieu of flowers please donate to B.C. Heart and Stroke Foundation.  Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Condolences to your family. We have been neighbours of Alec’s since 1977 and knew both Elaine and Shirley. Alec was so proud of his sons and their families and took great pleasure talking about them. We would often see Alec heading off to grandchildren’s sports events.

I’m also sending condolences on behalf of Shirley (and Bert, now deceased) Nix who you may remember from the neighbourhood. Bert was also a tradesman. Alec will be missed.

I worked at Saanich Municipality for 30 years, and worked with Alec Keiser. He was very professional and friendly, a pleasure to work with. I have run into him over the years in the mall or at other funerals.and it always a pleasure to talk to him. He was one in a million, very knowledgeable and proud to be senior plumbing inspector. I will miss him

My sincere condolences to Alec’s family. Have many good memories of Alec when we were at school together. Appreciate him helping with the plumbing inspection of my daughter’s house when she built it.

    In remembrance,

I met your dad in the late 60’s. I was a carpenter then. We worked a few jobs back then, had quite a few beers together!
I became a commercial fisherman, but I still ran into Alec here and there. Later on I saw him a lot, as he liked to walk down to Fisherman’s wharf. He was always interested in what the boats were doing. He was a sweet guy…I’m going to miss him!
