Shirley passed away peacefully at her home on Shawnigan Lake on December 24, 2020 at the age of 90. Shirley was born in Victoria to Oliver and Helen Pauline on October 15, 1930. She is survived by her loving husband of 13 years Bill Masterson, her sons Christopher (Marlene) Cormack, Michael (Kathryn) Cormack and Robert (Sharlene) Cormack. Grandchildren Kimberly, Carmen, David, Kristy, Rebecca, Brian and Hannah and four Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Carolyn Cole and nieces Diana and Heather (Ken) and their children.

Shirley grew up in Victoria attending Norfolk House School. She graduated from the Royal Jubilee Hospital School of Nursing class of 1952 followed by a long and fulfilling career as an RN there. She spent most of her adult life living in Oak Bay until retiring to Shawnigan Lake in 1990. A very loving and devoted mother and grandmother who dedicated her life to her family, her church and caring for others.
