After a valiant fight, Don lost his battle with cancer. Don was predeceased by parents, Alan and Doris and sister Elaine. Survived by sister Faith Como (Robin), nephew Ronald, niece Michele Thomson (Doug), great-nephews Brandon (Mariah), Tanner (Kirsten).
Don lived in Esquimalt his entire life and had many friends. His passions were his 1977 Corvette, model cars, his artwork and the outdoors. Thank you to all those who supported Don through this journey.

Don Palmer I am so very sad that our good friend Don has left us so early . He was a great guy to hang around with growing up in Esquimalt . Camping and fishing at Gold stream ,Partying at Saxe Point , going to dances at Fraser St. hall . He was part of our gang and I have so many wonderful memories of him .Rest in peace buddy.

Bruce Paterson Don was a very good friend in the old Esquimalt gang. We had a lot of fun and many crazy stories. I have a lot of photos to back up some good times we shared. It was a shock to hear of Don’s passing. I never knew he was in such a bad state. Rest in peace my friend. You will come across a few good old friends up there somewhere. Party on.

Like Don, I was born and raised in Esquimalt, and knew him since the 60’s. Being a bit older than Don we never really socialized until later in life. I always enjoyed a beer with him regardless of the occasion. We both had our momentary lapses, but, all in fun. I’ll miss our conversations very much.
