It is with extreme sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mom and grandmother, Betty Elizabeth Anderson (nee Tunnicliffe). Betty saw the world through the eyes of wonder and curiosity. She was a talented visual artist, seamstress and singer. She inspired, supported, and loved us and had an inner strength that never left her. We will think of her every time we see a thing of beauty and we’ll miss her deeply.
There will be no funeral as per mom’s request.
Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Brigitte McKenzie To Betty’s family,
I am truly sorry to learn of Betty’s death. I knew Betty when she and Dave were attending Grace Lutheran church where they were both quite active for a number of years. Betty’s beautiful sewing is still present in some of our worship banners that we use to this day. And, I recall enjoying her singing as well. She was a gracious, and multi-talented woman. Her beautiful smile was memorable. I am grateful to have known her. I am sure she will be dearly missed. May you cherish your memories of times spent together with Betty. Peace,

To Betty’s family, I wish to express my sincere sympathy to all of you. I will miss my visits to Betty as she was such a interesting and enjoyable lady. She very kindly lent us her mannequin several times a year for our Alumnae events. The mannequin was dressed as a St. Joseph’s nurse .We so appreciated her kindness.

Judith Boulden Dear Catherine and Family,
With great sadness I write this. My friendship with both Betty and David were intertwined in many phases of my life and over many decades……as my neighbours just up the hill; constant, caring companions by my side during my husband’s terminal illness; Betty who could produce miracles with wedding & bridesmaids dresses; memories of summer boating days; an integral part of my church family; Betty as part of our Thrift Shop family; memories of sharing their home with me during hours of comfortable conversation and solving the problems of the world. I shall miss her…..still as my neighbour up the hill, in the pew next to me, on Wednesdays as we gather in the Thrift Shop; our chats together still trying to solve the problems of the world.
May you be comforted with cherished memories,
Judith Boulden

Lorraine Gee Betty was a beautiful soul. She was a member of the Royal Victoria Fashion Society for many years where she contributed her talents in sewing. She included everyone around her, making them feel welcomed and valued. I was blessed to have know her and will always cherish my fondest memories.
My deepest condolences to all her family.

Gordon Griffiths Dear Catherine,
I am very sorry to learn of your mother’s passing. She was a wonderful, talented, artistic person who always had a warm greeting and smile – a bright light. When I visited, I always left feeling better than when I arrived. We are thinking of you at this time.
