Robert (Bob) Gordon Good passed away two minutes before midnight on December 4th, 2019, in Victoria, BC, at the age of 92. Although his family will miss him dearly, they are grateful that his exit was somewhat more peaceful than his original prediction that he would meet his demise by getting shot by a jealous husband while jumping over a fence.

His famous French pancakes and signature pork hock stew more than made up for his bad jokes and his innate inability to purchase a winning lotto ticket. He unknowingly started the reusable mug movement years ago, and would tuck his coffee on the passenger seat of his truck wherever he went while not spilling a drop, a skill that was not passed down to his children.

Bob is predeceased by his beautiful wife Phyllis. Together, they had 6 children – Sharon (predeceased), Yvonne (predeceased), Gord, Donna, Laura and Carol; 4 grandchildren – Brittany, Briana, Cole and Rayna and 2 great-grandchildren – Ava and Emerson.
Bob lost his share of loved ones along the way and will no doubt revel in the opportunity to catch up with his welcoming committee. Those of us left behind will cherish our many memories, knowing in our hearts he is resting, and very much in peace.

We’d like to thank our Alberta family for always checking in on their Uncle Bob, your presence was felt and was always a comfort. Thank you to those who only recently met Bob, yet developed a friendship, showing him love and care and brightening up his days with song or conversation. And to all the wonderful staff on the 3rd floor (Crofton) of the Selkirk Seniors Village, thank you so much for your care and compassion and for always having a comeback to Bob’s finger pistols and his playful ‘scary hands’ when you walked by.

Dad/Uncle Bob/Grandpa/Great-Grandpa/Bobby/Bob/Papa…we love you xo

So sorry for your loss. That obituary is really awesome. I remember uncle Bob coming to my house when i was probably 10 yrs old and I was sick with the measles and he brought me all kinds of ice cream. ❤️ Made an impact!
