Philip Weston Mundy peacefully passed away at the Royal Jubilee Hospital on August 14, 2019. “West”, as he liked to be called, was born in Victoria, B.C. on August 3, 1957.
West is survived by his son, Andrew and Andrew’s wife, Heather and his two grandsons, Noah and Jordan. He is also survived by his brother, Brad and sister-in-law, Elicce; brother, Kent and sister-in-law, Anne; nephews, Toby and Brent and his grand-nephew, Archer.
West was a sports-fanatic and a die-hard Yankees fan. One of his favourite memories was hosting a sports talk show for the University of Victoria and the Victoria Cougars in the 1990s. He had a love for classic rock and was a Coca Cola fanatic.
The family wishes to thank all of you that cared for West over the years. A special thank-you goes to Dr. Peter Meyer for your endless support and care for West.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Baptist Housing, #125-6165 Highway 17A. Delta, BC.
Interment will be held for West at Christ Church Cathedral in Victoria, BC at 1 PM on September 29, 2019. After the service, there will be a private gathering for family only.

Anne Mundy-Markell I only knew West through my Mum’s and sister Lynne’s stories. They both spoke highly of West. I know that his family, my cousins, are finding that there is a hole in their lives now and hope that it will heal as time goes on.. With love and condolences to you all,. Anne
I used to help West with his radio show at UVic. Always considered him a friend who had a great sense of humor and was very wise especially about sports. Condolences to the family, especially to Andrew who appeared on the show once or twice when he was 5 or 6 years old. RIP West
