Spencer passed away peacefully just before his 65th birthday. He was an amazing husband, father, uncle and friend. Predeceased by his parents William (Bill) and June Parker. Survived by his wife Betty, children Tyler Parker (Lindy Adamkowski), Tessa Parker (Micheal Perry), brothers Stephen Parker (Joyce), Scott Parker (Irene), sister Stephanie Parker (Peter Law), brother-in-law Barry Gibbs (Terry), nephews Ian Gibbs (Jamie), Braden Gibbs (Sheena), Nathan Gibbs, William Law, and honorary family Doug Branter (Christine), cousins, aunts, and many good friends.
Spencer worked at the Pacific Pilotage for thirty years where he made many friendships. We will always remember his devotion to his family, his sense of humour, his kindness, generosity and selflessness. He was always ready to lend a helping hand. Fly with the angels, dance with the stars.
Many thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Jubilee Hospital, CTU 5NE and Victoria General Hospital.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 8th, 2019, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Parker’s home.
If desired, tributes may be made to the Victoria SPCA. https://spca.bc.ca/donate/

Peter Rushton My deepest condolences to the entire Parker family. Have fond memories of Spence from days at UVic back in the 70s. Spence was always an easy guy to talk to with a great sence of humour.
Although I hadn’t run in to Spence since those UVic days I was always looking for him whenever Brenda and I would see the pilot boats in action down by Ogden Point.
Sincerely,
Peter Rushton

coleen isbister AHH Betty and all the Parker family, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Growing up next door to the Parkers was the greatest, Spence used to come to our house Friday afternoon and ask Dad for a beer . Larry liked his beer room temp and Spencer liked it cold so dad started to put a beer in the fridge on fridays for Spencer. Spencer sense of humour was wicked and his heart so kind. I am so honoured to have know him . He was a real gentleman

Cherilyn Clark Betty, and family, Spencer was a great guy and you will all miss him dearly. Whenever I think of him I break out into a smile and chuckle as he had that affect on people. He was totally devoted to you all and you will carry him in your hearts forever with all the wonderful memories of your times together. I think I read a verse recently about don’t cry because its over, smile because it happened. Spencer would like this.

I did not know Spencer well, but I do remember you and him as youngsters all those years ago, and how cheery and bright you were as a couple. So sorry to hear this news. My deepest condolences to the Parker family.
In high school, I was probably the worst football player ever and Spencer was one of the best. Having said that, I found myself playing on his team from time to time at Willows Beach. Even assisted Spence in scoring a touchdown once – that’s a highlight
of growing up in Oak Bay I’ll remember forever.
Rest In Peace Spence.
