Virginia Huie passed away peacefully at home in Victoria, BC after battling pancreatic cancer. She was surrounded by her beloved dog, Tucker and her family and friends. Virginia is survived by her daughters, Brenda Huie and Marcy Hutton; her son, Tim Preston, and her grandson, Buddy Hutton, who was the apple of her eye.
She was born in Hay Lakes, Alberta and grew up on a farm. She spent many years in Nanaimo before settling in Victoria. She will be missed by many including all of her many bookkeeping clients over the years.
Virginia was a no-nonsense lady and always spoke her mind. She was at peace knowing she would now be with her son, Daryl.
Special thanks to Dr. Stefanie Green.
In lieu of flowers, Virginia would have appreciated donations to the BC SPCA or an animal rescue organization of your choice.
Condolences may be offered to the family below.

Kim Gurney Dear Brenda,
I am so sorry to hear that your mom has passed.
She was always so good to me and really helped me through some tough times.
I am so sorry for you, your heart must be broken.
If you need anything from afar, I am always here for you.
Much love to you my dear old friend. Love you ❤️
Dear Marci and Brenda,
I will always hold the memories of your mom close to my heart! We had many long lunches and deep, “world problem-solving” conversations over the years whenever I was in Victoria. Truly blessed to have called her my aunt. I know you will miss her terribly.
Much love to you both and to Buddy. xo
