June LaPointe passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 20, 2018. Born in Cardston, Alberta on June 17th, 1933, June’s greatest pride in life was the family she had with her beloved husband, Paul; she loved nothing more than to have them all gather in one place and to marvel in everyone being together. June’s greatest joy in life was being with her family and has created many memories for them that they will never forget. June was a dedicated family woman and would do anything for a member of her family at any moment. June knew the importance of community and giving back, and could be seen helping out around the arena, with her kids’ many sports endeavours, and, later in life, volunteering for Santa’s Anonymous.
June leaves behind her daughter, Michelle (Ray); son, Stephen (Karen), Rhonda (daughter-in-law); 7 grandchildren, and 11 great -grandchildren. June was predeceased by her loving husband, Paul in 2013 and her son, Richard in 1999.
The family would like to thank the staff at Glengarry Hospital that took care of and took an interest in June.
A family service was held on Thursday, November 29, 2018.
