Carol McKay Thank you for putting this on Facebook. We would not have seen it otherwise, since we live in Alberta. My sister Linda and I are second cousins to Jackie on the McKay side of her family. We only recently have been blessed to get to know her and this past Feb we spent a lovely few days with her in Nanaimo BC. We have very fond memories of our times with her and felt her love and desire to be reconnected to her McKay roots.
We extend our most sincere condolences to all of her family and friends. We do wish we could attend her memorial on Monday. We will be with you all in spirit.
God bless you all.
Sincerely, Carol Ellis of Innisfail Alberta. (Daughter of Colin McKay son of Andrew Duncan McKay ).

Orleen MacLulich I still can’t quite believe my dear friend of 30 years is gone. So many shared memories, so many laughs, tears, hugs and heart to hearts. Almost to the end there were dreams of future adventures together, talk of new chapters, assurances that hospice was just a temporary stop on the road back to a sewing machine, knitting needles, cats, projects, friends and family! It was hard to watch her light and spark diminish but she was embraced and cared for with such love, tenderness and devotion by Heather and Andy right to the very end. My thanks and heart goes out to them! Condolences to all Jackie’s family!…until we meet again Jackie!

Margaret Long I’m so very sorry for your loss Heather. My sincerest condolences to you and your family. Your mother was a beautiful woman. ❤️❤️
The loss of our gentle friend and neighbour, Jackie has touched Dennis and I deeply. We are sad and yet still feel we might hear her bubbly voice and caring sparkle if we listen hard enough. Our history though short was rich. We are forever grateful to Jackie and Larry for bringing us a new neighbour welcome & treats to our door and an invitation to dinner the day we moved in. This was the start to more sharing of good times! Jackie’s abundant caring, resiliency and presence will shine in our hearts always. She always had us smile! Heather and Andy, we send heartfelt wishes and hugs as you both go through this time. Condolences to all of Jackie’s family.
