Harry was a true gentleman to the end and it was a pleasure to have known him for over 3 decades. In particular, Pauline was a very good friend of my late wife Lydia since the days when Pauline worked at Glenlyon School. May Harry Rest in Peace.

Uncle Harry will indeed be missed! I always enjoyed his rapier wit and incisive commentary, especially as I got older. Les, Bill, and Harry–it was sometimes difficult to remember they were brothers. To me, they seemed so different. Bill was the rugged, rough n’ tumble sort; Les, my father, was definitely the creative/artistic one of the bunch and Harry, the youngest, was the intellectual. I know Les (Win) and Bill (Helen) were always proud of Harry’s accomplishments both in the Navy and beyond. He definitely set a standard for the Palmer clan!

One commonality between the three brothers was what I call the ability to “do things”. By that I mean, if there was painting, electrical, or any sort of household task to be done, these were the brothers you’d want on the job. Harry was, like his brothers, masterful at a wide array of these “things”. The Palmer boys were from a generation where you did it yourself or it didn’t get done! Harry was an exemplar in this area fixing up countless homes, etc., especially once he retired.

Leslie, Laurie, and Leah: Let us celebrate a life that was well lived!
